Brien A. Roche
Brien A. Roche practices in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, products liability, motor vehicle accidents, workers' compensation, as well as a broad range of civil litigation. He has been an attorney since 1976. Mr. Roche is admitted to practice in Virginia, the District of Columbia, Maryland. Before working for plaintiffs in injury cases, Mr. Roche spent ten years representing insurance companies as a defendant's attorney. His experience allows him a unique insight into defense strategies and the inner workings of the insurance industry.
In addition to his busy law practice, Mr. Roche is a published author. He has written several books and articles relating to the practice of law, including the Virginia Torts Case Finder and the Virginia Domestic Relations Case Finder, two publications considered excellent reference materials used by lawyers and judges. He also wrote Law 101: An Essential Reference For Your Everyday Legal Questions, which answers many common legal questions affecting nonlawyers. Mr. Roche has also authored articles which have been published in the Journal of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and the Virginia Bar News.
Mr. Roche belongs to the American Bar Association, the Virginia State Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, and the Maryland State Bar. He is also a member of the Fairfax County Bar Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. In 1986, Mr. Roche was appointed and continues to serve as a Commissioner in Chancery for the Circuit Court of Fairfax County, Virginia.
He earned his Juris Doctor in 1976 from George Washington University National Law Center. Mr. Roche also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown. From 1970-1971, Mr. Roche served as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.
